1. Saltwater
This is great just after you have had your teeth pulled, but this is also effective if you have a common toothache. You simply just take a large spoonful of salt and mix it with lukewarm water. Similar to a mouthwash, you just need to swish the solution around in your mouth. Do this as long as you can stand the taste or until your jaw muscles get sore. When you are finished, spit the mixture out and just repeat a few times. After having done this, you should have some decent relief.
2. Cloves And Clove Oil
Cloves and their oil are time-tested toothache remedies; they have been used for a very long time. If you want some really fast relief for your toothache, try resting a small piece of clove on the sore area or just use a couple drops of clove oil. You can even mix ground cloves with olive oil to make a paste, which you can then apply to your tooth. The pain will drastically decrease usually, but this relief can only last so long.
3. Alcohol For Easy Relief
This isn't a vice. No social drinking is necessary for this to work well as a home remedy. If you happen to keep vodka, alcohol, or brandy on your shelves and you have a nagging toothache, then you may need to swish any of these around in your mouth to make it feel better. Keep doing this until you feel the relief you desire. Alternatively you can just use a mouth wash that contains alcohol if you desire.
